Overview
In connection with National AI Literacy Day, PedagogyFutures is hosting a professional development event about empowering teachers with ethical decision-making skills. We firmly believe that a cornerstone of AI literacy is the ability to asses the ethical questions at stake when making decisions about when and how to use AI in the classroom. In this workshop, we’ll introduce helpful ethical frameworks for grappling with questions about AI in education and practical strategies for bolstering teachers’ agency to make ethical decisions in their classrooms.
In this workshop, we’ll
- Address the key ethical issues that AI presents for education stakeholders.
- Discuss the need for ethical frameworks that shape decision making around AI in schools.
- Share practical strategies for building ethical decision-making skills
- Conduct a case study activity to apply the concepts to a real-life scenario.
